38 Studios and Bioware developers who have been laid off are finding a new home with Red5, makers of Firefall.
A result of these hires is doubling the design team on the free to play shooter MMO being developed. The latest, massive update of the Firefall beta is one result of the additional staff.
“We’ve probably spent a pure month on recruiting, which hurt production. We ended up having to crunch harder than we ever have to get this patch done. We’ve never really crunched at red 5, but this last month has been an absolutely a true crunch.” said Dave Williams of Red5.
