Eastwooding - Coming Soon To A Meme Near You

First, there was planking. Then, there was Tebowing. Now, there is Eastwooding.

Internet fads are a dime a dozen. However some times, just because of something happening in the world, something causes one of these phenomenon to pop up. In this case, it was last night at the Republican National Convention. As a surprise speaker at the convention, Clint Eastwood came out with a chair. Sitting the chair next to him, Eastwood proceeded to ask questions of the chair as if it had a silent Barack Obama sitting in it. The routine has been panned by the Progressive movement with numerous slurs, but the Conservative movement laughed throughout the routine.

The significance of the empty chair meme, originally created by political cartoonist Doonesberry to describe George HW Bush, aside, Eastwood's performance has spawned a new fad. People are going out and taking pictures of empty chairs in settings and then sending the pictures via Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter to one another as examples of 'Eastwooding'.

At least this time, it is not dangerous (there have been a few deaths from planking attempts going wrong), nor does it mock religion (as many Tebowing enactors are doing).
