Epic Games known for their powerful games engine from around the world took an entirely different approach to its licensing of Unreal Engine 4 today. Announcing a subscription-based system, instead of paying for a license, the new business model is a flat $19 per month, plus 5 percent of gross revenue from any commercial project.
While Epic Games will be offering this new subscription service, Epic Games will continue to offer is tradition licenses. For those who are interested in the Unreal Engine 4 subscription service it will be available starting 12:30PM Eastern (9:30AM Pacific) today.
