Firefly fans have long awaited some sort of new movie, or perhaps a reunion show of some sort, with the cult science fiction tv show hit. Wait no longer, as the reunion will be filmed at San Diego Comic Con.
Firefly has been at the top of many a science fiction geeks list of shows they want started back up again. Josh Whedon, however, has moved on from the project and despite prodding on Twitter from Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, and the rest of the crew, it looked like nothing would ever be done. Enter the Science Channel, who own the rights to broadcast Firefly on their network.
Science Channel is filming the panel reunion of the cast of Firefly this weekend at San Diego Comic Con, and will air the footage as a special one hour show called Browncoats Unite! Unfortunately Jewel Staite (Kaylee) will be in London, but most of the rest of the cast will appear with Josh Whedon.
Browncoats Unite! will air on November 11, Veteran's Day in the United States, on the Science Channel. Since it is a US holiday, no excuse exists to avoid seeing the show if you cannot make it to San Diego Comic Con.
