Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby 3DS Remakes On The Way

By AJ Hanson on 29/04/2024 21:51 UTC

Nintendo announced today Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire as remakes of the Game Boy Advance games coming to the 3DS in November.

The choice to go ahead with these remakes shouldn't come as a surprise to fans of the series, as Pokemon Red, Blue, Gold, and Silver have all seen DS remakes in the past and have been quite successful for the platform.

The original games (Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire) launched on the Game Boy Advance in 2003 and introduced the new region of Hoenn and new Pokemon to boot.

We don't yet know what the games will look like or what new additions we could see to the series, but we're hoping for more news at E3 2014!

Stay tuned, its going to be a great ride!
