Xbox Community Enforcement

By Stewart Marsh on 29/04/2024 21:50 UTC

For console gamers one of the biggest annoyances is when we cross the path of hackers on the consoles, all we can do is report them but we never really see them get banned and we often come across the same people from time to time. However this is slowly changing, by allowing the community to have more of a say on who is violating a services code of conduct.

Microsoft today has launched the “Enforcement United Beta” currently only available to those who are in their ambassador program, Enforcement United allows members, to get involved and help ensure Xbox Live is a fun, fair and safer place for everyone. Members who join the program will provide their opinions on whether a complaint against a Gamertag violates the Xbox Live Code of Conduct. This data feeds into an algorithm developed by the Xbox Live Policy and Enforcement Team to help crowdsource information on potential Gamertag violations.

This is just one of many steps Microsoft is taking to making sure the Xbox Community continues to grow and become ultimately a place for having great fun.
