EA Play took a rather different approach to showcasing more about Anthem this year, they started off with a discussion around the game with the games developers while taking some fan questions before showcasing gameplay.
Anthem's world is designed to change as you progress through it's story either alone or with a team of friends, it should be noted if your elect to go it alone it will be significantly tougher.
You’ll be able to customize your Javelins pain and geometry to a unique look that satisfies you, but that’s not the only neat thing about the Javelins you’ll be able to switch it up to any of the four different classes as your playthrough. While they didn’t specify if you can change Javelins mid gameplay or if it would require you to go back to base to switch out, its great that players will have the choice that if they don’t like one class can easily swap out without having to replay certain segments of the game all over again (looking at you Destiny).
While Anthem will feature in-game purchases these will be limited to cosmetic and vanity-based items which gamers will be able to see upfront so no loot crates or random rolls just straight up purchasing of in-game items should a player elect to purchase an in-game item.
Anthem is set to release worldwide on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on February 22nd 2019.
Update: Gameplay reveal trailer added below the cinematic trailer.
