EA/DICE Took the wraps off of the first piece of expansion content for its cops and robbers shooter, Battlefield Hardline in a blog post today. Titled "Criminal Activity" it will hit early access (premium expansion owners) in June across all platforms.
"There's been a recent uptick in reports in the local precincts, a rash of violent crime that is seemingly connected somehow... Small crews of well trained, aggressive criminals have been using force of arms to terrorize the citizenry and are in direct conflict with the police..." the post reads describing the upcoming expansion.
The new expansion brings several new features and modes to the game including:
- Four "fast paced" new maps, Backwoods, Code Blue, The Beat, and Black Friday
- Two all new rides
- Two new ammuntion types for specific weapons
- A new gadget
- Three brand new weapons
- A nailgun battlepickup
- New Bounty Hunter game mode
- Six new masks; two animal masks and four new police headgear options
It sounds like EA is coming out swinging with the first expansion for Hardline to draw as many people back in as possible. We will have more on this expansion as its released,
