Destiny developer Bungie said that it has heard players complaints and criticism about the admittedly shaky progression system in their first Destiny DLC and has said they won’t repeat the same mistakes when they release the upcoming DLC, House of Wolves.
In a statement, Bungie said “Nothing specific to announce at this time, but the mistakes we made with the DLC1 reward economy will not be repeated…We want fewer barriers to equipping upgrades.” Bungie also said “We don’t want to invalidate player effort (again). But removing the barrier between that new drop you’re excited to get and actually being able to equip it as a member of your arsenal are something we will do going forward.”
No offense to Bungie, but when it comes to things like this, this writer is a bit skeptical. Hopefully they manage to do all of the things they’re set out to do, but I’ll believe it when I see it.
