Activision has announced that while Call of Duty Black Ops III will be developed solely for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, designed to harness the full potential of each platform. Call of Duty Black Ops III will now also launch on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, developed by Spider-Man series developer Beenox and Mercenary Technology.
Gamers can expect to see significant changes between the last-gen and current-gen version of the game as the developers will be working backwards to downscale the game to work on older hardware. Most notable you’ll be able to play through the campaign with up to one friend whereas on current-gen you’ll be able to play with up to four friends. The multiplayer beta won’t be available on last-gen systems either.
Activision has been rather good at announcing they will be listing all discrepancies between the last-gen and current-gen as the release date of November 6 nears.
