Modded controllers have taken over the gaming landscape recently. With industry standards Scuf gaming sponsoring a majority of major league gamers and Twitch streamers alike, a lot of other companies have entered into the fray as well. Companies like Evil Controllers, Controller Chaos, and Scorpion Controllers are all vying for a piece of the pie. Even Microsoft is getting in on the action with its Xbox One Elite Controller it announced at E3 this year.

Enter: Cinch Gaming, a company that aims to take the modded controller community by storm and never look back. With custom controllers for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4, how does the Cinch Controller match up against some of the competition? We were given and Xbox One modded controller at E3 2015 by Cinch Gaming and have spent the past few weeks putting it through the ringer. So, does it deserve a look when deciding which modded controller to buy? Lets find out...

Cinch aims to “redefine the standard of professional game controllers...while pushing the envelope of innovation and technology.” and with their Xbox One modded controller, called the Cinch One, they succeeded in spades. It is the most comfortable modded controller we've ever used. Upon placing an order, there are various color options for both the body of the controller as well as the buttons, and even LED options.

Where these controllers really shine however, is in the functional options presented to the buyer. A person can choose how stiff they like their thumbsticks, if you want rumbles in or out of the controller, how you want your rear buttons mapped by default, and how tight you want your triggers set as a standard. All of these options are presented in a quick and painless one page menu and your total for purchase is ever present, so you can work within your budget.

All of these options are great, but a pretty controller is nothing if it doesn't perform during the most intense gaming sessions. After roughly 100 hours of play, across various genres of games from first person shooter, to RPG, to adventure and puzzle games we can honestly say this is one of the best controllers we've ever used, modded or otherwise. Everything on this controller just feels right. The buttons have amazing response time and with the adjustable trigger length, you can be primed and ready to go in any situation with the turn of the wrench. It improved our scores in games like Call of Duty and Halo, and gave us amazing control over vehicles in Grand Theft Auto V.

We threw this controller around, mashed buttons for hours on end, and the Cinch One is still going strong. Its a true testament to how much care is put in designing these controllers. The rear buttons are a dream in FPS games, allowing your thumbs to remain on the sticks and they make hand braking a vehicle in racing games a breeze. There simply is nothing like it. Everyone needs to experience the beauty that is the Cinch controller family for themselves.

Cinch controllers are also priced remarkably well for the modded controller market. With a starting price of $109.99, they are one of the most economical and budget friendly controllers out there. Even when we played around with the options, we still found that the pricing on the Cinch family of controllers was usually cheaper or comparative to the other companies options.

Overall, we cannot recommend the Cinch family of controllers high enough. They feel amazing in the hands, perform well above and beyond our expectations, and are priced just right for the professional gamer and those looking to get into the modded controller scene for the first time. You can find the controllers on their website, and place your order today!
