Codemasters Announces DiRT 4

Despite it still being a relatively ‘fresh’ game, 2015’s DiRT Rally is already receiving a follow up game; DiRT 4. Codemasters’ latest addition to their off road racing franchise, DiRT 4, is set to go after the lights turn green on 6th June 2017.

DiRT 4 is releasing with 50 vehicles which also includes Pro Buggies and Crosskart Vehicles. While there are only 5 different race locations, Codemasters claim that there will be a location that allows for “millions” of different routes to drive. The locations that you will be able to race in span across Australia, Spain, Michigan (yes again), Sweden and Wales.

Unfortunately there aren’t any new game modes that we’ve not seen before in a DiRT game. However there will be “The FIA World Rallycross Championship” that you are able to compete in alongside playing in your career mode. The World Championship will send you to locations around the world which include but are not limited to Montalegre, Lohéac Bretgne, Hell(?), Holjes and Lydden Hill.

DiRT 4 however has brought us a brand new feature. It’s called Your Stage, an innovative new creation tool which allows anyone to produce a brand new track at the “press of a button.”

“DiRT 4 features a game-changing system called Your Stage; an innovative rally route creation tool that allows you to produce an almost-infinite number of unique stages at the press of a button. You choose your location and set the route parameters, then Your Stage does the hard work to create a unique rally stage that you can race, share with your friends, and then challenge them to beat your time. Your Stage allows experienced rally players to create longer, more technical routes, whilst newcomers can create simpler shorter routes as they hone their skills.”
