After all of the controversy surrounding Destiny 2 since its release last September, Bungie absolutely had to come out of the gate swinging for the fences...And swing they did. Today, Bungie announced Destiny 2: Forsaken, which will launch on all platforms September 4th, 2018.
Forsaken brings with it a ton of new content for everything in the game. Highlights include:
New Locations
The most lawless frontier in all the Reef, the Tangled Shore is a dangerous web of asteroids lashed together. Its isolated location, far from Vanguard and Awoken authorities, make it an ideal home for pirates and outlaws seeking marooned treasure.
New Enemies
The hunt is on for eight Barons who’ve escaped the Prison of Elders. Your pursuit of these fugitives will take you to uncharted regions and ultimately reveal long-lost Awoken secrets.
New Supers
Wield new Super abilities and feel renewed power.
New Weapons & Gear
Uncover powerful weapons like the all-new Legendary bow and collect new Exotic gear.
Gambit
Fight. Collect. Bank. Invade. This all-new hybrid 4v4 mode combines the best of PvE and PvP.
Also revealed was a new "Annual Pass" for Destiny 2: Forsaken. Which will include three new content DLC's...Which sounds a lot like we've stepped through a time machine and are back in 2015. But we digress.
Bungie did say that story information, as well as more information on Gambit would come next week during E3 2018.
Pricing for both the new expansion and the annual pass is not available as of this writing, but we will update you as we get it in.
Again, Destiny 2: Forsaken launches September 4th across all platforms.
