Destiny 2: Xur's First Visit Brings Unexpected Gifts

Destiny 2 fans, rejoice! XUR IS BACK! And he brings with him some powerful equipment for every class in the popular FPSMMORPGOMGWTFBBQWHYAREWESTILLDOINGTHIS?

All classes have access to purchase the Merciless Fusion Rifle, which is one of the best exotic weapons a player can take into the Leviathan Raid that launched this week.

Three class specific armor pieces come in the form of three exotics you can choose during the games campaign. Titans get the Doom Fang Pauldron Gauntlets, Hunters get the Raiden Flux Chestpiece, and Warlocks get the Wings of the Sacred Dawn (which look like something out an anime from the 90's... but thats another story entirely.)

All items will drop at your characters current light level, rather than a set capped level which is pretty incredible so even lower level characters can get in on the fun!

It also appears that Xurs currency of choice this time around seems to be the Legendary Shards, which you can acquire by breaking down purple legendary gear.

For those of you who played Destiny 2, you might be in for a bit of a surprise when you discover not just what Xur has, but where he is. In Destiny 1, Xur would appear at different locations across the Tower. In his first drop in Destiny 2, hes up a tree on Nessus. Weird, right? However, to mark the change, his location can now be spotted on the map.

If you're nearing the end of this article and you still have no idea what we're talking about, Xur is a shopkeeper who appears at a random location every Friday, selling end game exotic equipment. Xur is a great way to get yourself acquainted with some new gear that you might have missed either in the campaign or through grinding.

We're still waiting on our Destiny 2 review, but so far, we're pretty impressed with the title overall.

We'll bring you the latest on Destiny 2 as we get it.
