Bungie has announced the second expansion for Destiny, House of Wolves will land May 19th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners. However the new expansion will not bring a third raid to the game.
Instead Bungie will introduce a different type of endgame content with a new cooperative battle arena, the Prison of Elders. Focusing on variety, replayability and skill, resembling a wave-based “horde” mode.
Bungie plans to announce more details surrounding the House of Wolves expansion come April 22nd with a walking tour of The Reef among other details leading up to the expansions release.
Activision also revealed during an earnings call in February that Bungie is working on a “major content release” for Destiny that will be available later in 2015.
