Rumors abound, Blizzard has finally confirmed that Diablo III is indeed coming to the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch version will be dubbed Diablo III: Eternal Collection and will not only feature the Necromancer DLC, but content exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version as well.
A 'Legend of Ganondorf' cosmetic armor set will be included in the game, as well as a tri-force portrait frame, and Echos of the Mask cosmetic wings.
The Switch port will allow up to 4 players to play on the same console at once, which is a first for Blizzard and this is the first time that Blizzard has put one of their titles on a Nintendo console in over 15 years.
While many were hoping for a Diablo 4 announcement instead of yet another Switch re-release, it makes sense for Blizzard to test the waters out with this already proven title vs putting out something new that might not sell. Who knows, maybe this could open the door for Overwatch on Switch someday. The Senior Producer from the Diablo team seems to think it's feasible, so the Lucioball is very much in that team's court.
