Editorial: Ignorance Is Bliss? WB Says It Won't Fix Numerous Arkham Origin Glitches

By AJ Hanson on 29/04/2024 21:50 UTC

Warner Bros. Games confirmed it would not work on a content patch to fix numerous issues and glitches with their game Batman: Arkham Origins haunting some players since release. The Xbox 360 version in particular has a massive corrupt save glitch that eats entire game files for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

They, instead, are working on story based DLC content to be released in the coming months.

STOP! Hold on right there...

WB Games is going to release DLC for a broken game? Well, doesn't this just scream silly to anyone else?

This is the kind of ignorance we're seeing across the industry as of late. Game development companies releasing broken games and then taking forever to fix the issue, or refusing to fix the issue all together in order to push out DLC content. It is a blatant money grab.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Arkham Origins in our review, and praised it for many things. However, this kind of ignorance cannot go unnoticed. The throngs of comments on the related IGN article, as well as general fan forums seem to agree with me.

Simply put: fix your game, WB.
