Ubisoft recently announced that their latest upcoming title “For Honor” will enter a closed Beta state in January 2017. Stepping into the war-torn lands of Ashfeld, Valkenheim and Myre, players will be able to experience brand new multiplayer matches showcasing wars between the Vikings, Samurai and Knights.

During the Beta event, Ubisoft will launch “War of the Factions,” a pre-launch limited time event that will decide which of the three factions will reign supreme. For those who take part in the beta event in January 2017, rewards will be given, as well as additional bonuses for the winning faction.

Enter battle with a plethora of unique heroes across the three factions including the two new Heavy heroes that Ubisoft have showcased- the Samurai Shugoki and the Viking Warlord, complete with a new Assassin class hero, the Knight Peacekeeper.

In addition to the Beta announcement, Ubisoft also debuted its brand new metagame, Faction War, which is a persistent cross-platform conflict between the Knights, Vikings, and Samurai. All players begin by pledging their sword to their chosen faction before then moving into multiplayer battles to earn War Assets based on individual performances. War Assets that are earned can be redeemed to help players conquer and defend territories as well as contribute to the glory of a players’ faction during each season. Once a 10-week multiplayer season ends, all For Honor players will receive rewards based on the rank of their faction.

If you’re hungry for the taste of medieval warfare, you can register right now to be part of January’s Beta programme.
