Hack n slash & boss rush are two phrases that typically make my blood run cold. I am awful at stabbing things faster than they can stab me. However, Furi has managed to cure my fear of both by just being so ridiculously charming, rewarding and stylish.
The game is hard as nails, there's no denying that, but it's sensibly difficult. Furi isn't hard in the Dark Souls sense, where a boss can just come flying out of nowhere and smash you to pieces, it gives you a chance to learn patterns and beat them at their own game. You'll soon be dashing through bullet barrages and frantic laser patterns before moving onto the next boss.
We had the good fortune to grab a few words around the game on the E3 show floor. As you can see from the background in the video, the graphics are superb (insert obligatory Kappa here). Unfortunately, we had to move away from the booth due to just how ridiculously packed the Xbox area was with so many incredible titles.
Hopefully, you'll get a decent impression around the title from the video below. Furi is available soon on PC and PS4, so if you're a fan of slashing in style, grab a copy for yourself once the release date is set in stone!
