Grand Theft Auto IV's Liberty City will soon exist right next to Grand Theft Auto V's Los Santos thanks to a brand new mod coming from Team OpenIV.
The mod has been in the works from the team since 2015. Unlike other map mods, Liberty City will not replace Los Santos, but will appear just across the ocean.
The modders released a new teaser trailer which can be seen below.
"Liberty City is finally coming into GTA V in all its glory...Liberty City will not replace Los Santos or Blaine County, but will appear across the sea."
In order to run the mod, players will need both a copy of GTA IV and GTA V on the same PC. A download tool will then extract the data from GTA IV and create a new DLC pack which can be patched into GTA V. No release date has been revealed.
GTA V shows no signs of slowing down years after release, still selling well every quarter. It has now reportedly sold just over 6 million copies in the UK alone.
