The much anticipated Halo 5: Guardians Beta launched today for those with the Halo: Master Chief Collection! This is the first true hands on experience for many gamers around the world and has been met with much fanfare!
Halo 5 will continue the story of Master Chief when it launches on the Xbox One in fall of 2015 and brings with it a brand new character central to the Halo universe. "Peace is shattered when colony worlds are unexpectedly attacked" the press release reads, "When humanity's greatest hero has gone missing, Spartan Locke is tasked with hunting the Master Chief and solving a mystery that threatens the entire galaxy." That sounds like one helluva campaign!
Pre-orders were also kicked off today and revealed early details on the various editions of Halo 5: Guardians that will be available.
The Standard Edition for $59.99 will get you Halo 5: Guardians plus an exclusive poster only available to those who pre-order the game.
The Limited Edition for $99.99 will get you Halo 5 plus "new digital content to enhance Spartan Combat and exclusive items" all encompassed in a steel-book.
The Limited Collectors Edition for $249.99 will get you everything from the Limited Edition plus exclusive collectors content and a commemorative numbered statue designed by 343 Studios which will be revealed at a later date.
343 really seems to have stepped up their game this time around to make Halo 5: Guardians the true event it deserves to be in fall 2015.
