343 Industries latest instalment to the Halo Universe has officially arrived, today inconjuction with Vanguard Games, Microsoft Studios and 343 Industries have launched Halo: Spartan Strikes the latest top-down shooter for Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, iPhone, iPad and Steam as a digital download for $5.99.
While Halo: Spartan Strike was originally due to come out in December, Microsoft and 343 Industries originally delayed the games launch to resolve various issues in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Halo: Spartan Strike tells a compelling story in the Halo universe set during the events of Halo 2 on New Mombasa in 2552. As a Spartan super soldier in a classified ONI Simulation, delve into30 challenging missions while leading UNSC troops through cities and jungles with all new arsenal of weapons, abilities and vehicles.
Players can compare their performance against friends in weekly challenges and attempt to take the top spot on the leaderboard. Earn achievements that unlock exclusive emblems, nameplates and avatars in Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One.
Halo: Spartan Strike also includes a new musical score from the award-winning Tom Salta, whose previously worked on Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.
