Halo: The Master Chief Collection Available to pre-download

On November 11th Halo fans will rejoice in what is set to be the biggest Halo experience yet with the launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

To recap, Halo: The Master Chief Collection contains four complete Halo games, every multiplayer map ever released (including DLC from console and PC) across each game, a complete remaster of Halo 2 with all-new audio and Blur’s mind-blowing cinematics, and all of this is tied together with (and enhanced by) a revolutionary user interface.

Microsoft has announced that has made alterations to its launch date for Halo: The Master Chief Collection after fan feedback. Originally targeted for launch on November 11th in North America only and other territories shortly after, Microsoft has made alterations to see that majority of territories will now launch on November 11th.

With the exception of a few countries due to public holidays, in Europe, Belgium will release on November 12th and France will release on November 14th as part of their typical Friday release schedule. Fans in Japan will see a release of November 13th, everywhere else can expect a simultaneous worldwide release on November 11th.

Microsoft has also announced that fans can now pre-order and pre-load Halo: The Master Chief Collection via the Xbox One Store or Xbox.com, but make sure you have a whooping 65GB free on your hard drive, while the game will utilize a full Blu-ray disc (45 GB) a day one patch of 20 GB is also expected to deliver much more content. You’ll be able to start playing Campaign and more as the content is installing, with some features and multiplayer content being added via the update. Spartan Ops, the episodic co-op experience from Halo 4, will now release in December.

Fans will also be able to enjoy Halo: Nightfall, The inaugural installment of the episodic series from Executive Producer Ridley Scott and Scott Free Production will debut day-and-date with The Master Chief Collection – and you’ll be one of the first to see it. Giving players a look into the backstory of Agent Locke, who plays a key role in the events of Halo 5: Guardians, the five episodes of “Halo: Nightfall” will help to usher in a new era in the Halo universe.

On December 29th fans will be able to jump into a three-week beta period for the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta.
