Karl Urban, who portrays Leonard 'Bones' McCoy in the new Star Trek movie series, apologized today at San Diego Comic Con about his accidental reveal in New Zealand of Star Trek 2's main villain, played by 'Sherlock's Benedict Cumberbatch.
The interview in New Zealand took place after a 22 hour plane flight, so Urban let slip the name of Cumberbatch's character.
Gary Mitchell
For those of you non-Trek fans, Gary Mitchell was in the second pilot, Where No Man Has Gone Before, as the crewman imbued with the powers of a god. Lagspike.tv is sure the character will not be the same, as in the pictures released so far in the film, Cumberbatch is not wearing a Star Fleet outfit.
The most unfortunate thing is our friend Televixen of DVD Geeks looks to have not landed the role of Elizabeth Dehner like we pushed for last year. Dehner is Mitchell's love interest in Where No Man Has Gone Before, and since filming is occurring, it does not seem to be in the cards for Mary.
