Life Is Strange looks like an utterly fascinating title and we've finally got the PC requirements released ahead of a January 30th release. We actually got a chance to look at some hands-on gameplay of the first episode in the series back at EGX London last year and the game looked utterly amazing.
First and foremost, we should probably mention the art style. Every single texture has been hand drawn. It creates a fantastic and unique art style that really makes the title stand out from the Telltale-a-like game niche that has sprung up of late. There's a heavy focus on photography and how that fits within the game, so expect a wide array of breath-taking scenes to snap with your main character Max's camera.
We're extremely excited to take a look at this game on release, running through all of different spheres of consequence based on your actions in the game and being able to tweak those through the intriguing time travel aspect. Nearly every single scene in the game has a choice to make and the ability to rewind time to take a different path, but only some paths can be fully retraced due to the strict limit set upon how far back you can rewind.
Probably the better people to explain how the game works, how it came together and what to expect are the devs themselves. Luckily, they've just published a developer diary which can be seen below.
The title will be available January 30th across PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and PC, so there is really no excuse not to pick this one up. Especially when the price is a reasonable £3.99 for episode one or £15.99 for the full season (which is likely to be 5 episodes a-la Walking Dead).
