Lindsey Stirling And Pikachu Team Up For Epic Quest

By Stewart Marsh on 29/04/2024 21:50 UTC

YouTube sensation Lindsey Stirling has teamed up with Pikachu for a violin-dubstep remix of the official Pokémon theme tune.

The video features Lindsey and fellow YouTube star, Kurt Hugo Schneider roaming the streets of New York and L.A with a guest appearance from Pikachu himself.

The 26 year-old from Gilbert, Arizona shot to fame in 2010 after being rejected by Britain and US’ most hated TV personality, Piers Morgan in the America’s Got Talent quarter-finals. Lindsey went on to sell over 130,000 copies of her debut album in the US without any label support. She has now racked up over 400 million views and 3 million subscribers on YouTube.

Stirling is well known for her covers of computer games music including Assassin’s Creed, Skyrim and Zelda.

Lindsey’s a classically-trained violinist entering a futuristic world of big beats and animation and who has been picked up by Lady Gaga’s management company. Her song Crystallize was the eighth most-viewed video on Youtube last year, racking up an incredible 61 million views. With her first ticketed show just twelve months ago, she’s now selling out dates across Europe, America, Russia and Asia. Her debut album is due out in the UK this December on Decca Records.

Stirling’s debut album features twelve original tracks including viral smashes CrystallizeShadows and Electric Daisy Violin. Working with Utah producer/DJ Marko G, she has created a new musical world where the romance of celtic folk music and modern classical meet the infectious energy of dance.
