Madden 15 Looks Towards Defense

Are you ready for some football?

Madden 15, not only with the selection of Richard Sherman as the player on the cover, but in their opening cinematic being shown at E3, is focusing on defense. In the cinematic, the Steel Curtain of the Steelers, the Fearsome Foursome of the Rams, and the Legion of Doom of Seattle are touched upon. Unfortunately, I did not a chance to find out how the improvements in defense in the game will change gameplay. The games being played around me were occupied.

Graphics on the game look consistent to the Madden game last year. Not much more information was forthcoming, as the Madden room was the only one forbidding photography. With NCAA Football being shelved, Madden sales may increase as those, like myself, who chose NCAA over Madden have little alternative.

Small press and visitors did not have the opportunity to take pictures or record videos of the gameplay. Of course, larger outlets got this opportunity. The area set aside in EA's booth for Madden was the second most crowded of the four booths set up for EA Sports. The only reason it was not the most crowded was due to the FIFA room playing the opening match of the World Cup live. Madden is still EA Sports biggest franchise, but FIFA is catching up, from what I witnessed.

As usual, Madden 15 will arrive on August 26th, just before the NFL season starts.
