It has been confirmed with a trailer, Mario Kart 8's first DLC pack will include 'Yoshi's Circuit', a track from the Gamecube's 'Mario Kart: Double Dash" game from 2003. A remixed version of the track also featured in the DS game 'Mario Kart DS' .
The original track was in the shape of Yoshi and features an abundance of piranha plants, sharp deadly turns, tunnels and an over the water jump if you wanted to make up time and catch up with opposing racers. The track will be remastered so I'm hoping they add additional goodies and surprises for us.
The track will be a perfect place to use the multi coloured Yoshi skins that you get for purchasing both pieces of Mario Kart 8 DLC.
The first DLC pack “Zelda x Mario Kart 8” will drop sometime next month and is said to feature:

8 tracks in the form of 2 cups. (it seems highly likely it will contain 4 new tracks and 4 retro remastered tracks)

3 playable characters. Link, Tanooki Mario and Cat Suit Peach have been confirmed

A blue falcon inspired cart from the F-Zero series

The master cycle. A motorbike inspired by Link's Master Sword, that has an Epona like body with embedded master shields on the sides

The 'B Dasher' cart from Mario Kart DS'

An additional unannounced vehicle.
The second DLC pack “Animal Crossing x Mario Kart 8” is said to be dropping some time in May 2015 and is said to feature:

8 tracks in the form of 2 cups

3 playable characters. Villager and Isabelle from Animal Crossing and Dry Bowser.

4 unannounced vehicles
As a bonus for purchasing both DLC packs you will receive different coloured Yoshis and Shy Guy skins to use right away.
What DLC characters, tracks and vehicles are you most looking forward to? I had my fingers crossed for Diddy Kong as a playable character but Nintendo seem to have destroyed my dreams by announcing all of the DLC characters.
