Marvel fans, your time has come! Announced at Comic-Con this past weekend, fan favorite video games Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 have been given proper next generation re-releases! ...sort of.
While they are not proper HD remakes, they are upgraded versions of the original titles (which released in 2006 and 2009 respectively). The graphics have been upgraded but according to the developers it is not a full HD re-release. "We wanted these re-releases to be as faithful to the original Ultimate Alliance games as possible--the definitive versions." said executive producer Mike Jones speaking during the announcement at San Diego Comic-Con.
A vast improvement over the original titles, however, can be seen in performance overall. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 are available now on PC (Steam) and on Playstation 4, with the Xbox One version to release July 28th. The two games retail individually for $40 but a bundle can be purchased with both games and all content included for $60.
What do you think of the re-release? Are you happy with what they gave us or would you have preferred a full HD remaster?
