Remember that mobile game that Nintendo released in March this year, called “Miitomo”? Well today, it got a huge update. Players now have even more ways for players to express themselves and communicate.
Immediately after installing the free update, players can begin to enhance their social adventures as they are now able to send private messages to their friends, customize their Miitomo’s room, and share answers and outfits with even more Miitomo users.
The new private messaging function allows players to send private messages to anybody on their friends list and can also set an expression for their Mii when the message is delivered. Mii’s rooms can now be decorated with custom flooring patterns and wallpapers, which are collectible through the game’s “Miitomo Drop” minigame. These new collectables are inspired from Nintendo’s key franchises like Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Metroid. The coolest part of these redecoration features now allows users to decorate their rooms with photographs stored on the users’ devices. Each room has the ability to hold up to eight posters with each poster spot costing £0.79 / 0.99€.
The game’s brand new “Style Central” feature allows players to dress up their Miis in three of their favourite outfits so they can then be submitted and shared with other users. Others users will then be able to see these outfits and mark them with a “like” or even try them on themselves. By sharing outfits, players receive “My Nintendo” points that can be redeemed for Nintendo rewards which includes games and vouchers.
An interesting new feature, named the “Sidekick Mii” allows users to assign up to 100 Mii characters that play secondary roles with their own separate rooms. Users can also dress these characters and be set to public or private.
Finally, the game has been made “easier to use.” A new timeline feature makes it much easier to see your friends’ latest answers without the need to speak to other Mii characters, which was the previous method. Of course, you will also be able to see your friends’ customised rooms.
As a last note, Miitomo is now available to install and play in even more countries which include Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
