Ah the wave of nostalgia is strong with Nintendo once again. Fresh off the success of Pokemon GO taking the world by storm, Nintendo took advantage of the nostalgia trip many (including myself) were on and announced the NES Classic Edition for release in November.

The "new" console will release November 11th and will come with one controller, an HDMI cable and will be pre-loaded with 30 classic NES titles. The full list of games can be seen below:

Balloon Fight
BUBBLE BOBBLE
Castlevania
Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong Jr.
DOUBLE DRAGON II: THE REVENGE
Dr. Mario
Excitebike
FINAL FANTASY
Galaga
GHOSTS’N GOBLINS
GRADIUS
Ice Climber
Kid Icarus
Kirby’s Adventure
Mario Bros.
MEGA MAN 2
Metroid
NINJA GAIDEN
PAC-MAN
Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream
StarTropics
SUPER C
Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Mario Bros. 3
TECMO BOWL
The Legend of Zelda
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

The console will also support two-player gaming! A second NES controller can be attached either through a classic controller or classic controlle pro. The NES controller will retail for $19.99. Players will also be able to connect a Wii Remote Controller to the console. This will allow you to play Virtual Console NES games on either the Wii or Wii U.

What do you think? Is this a brilliant move by Nintendo? Or is this a desperate cash in to tide people over until they reveal more of the NX hopefully next year? Let us know in the comments!
