Nintendo’s woes continue into 2016 as the announcement of their sales for the Christmas quarter (September to December 2015) were just 29.1 billion yen ($241m; £168m.) This is a reduction of 36% when compared to the same period in 2014. This will come as little surprise to anyone following the Nintendo saga of late, especially with the news that the company have begun sending development kits for their upcoming ‘Nintendo NX’ console to select studios, a system which is widely rumoured to be the replacement for the ill-fated Wii-U.
