I want you guys to take a look at something specific here. This was listed in the article I listed in the source.
"NVIDIA engineers embedded at Valve collaborated on improving driver performance for OpenGL; optimizing performance on NVIDIA GPUs; and helping to port Valve’s award-winning content library to SteamOS; and tuning SteamOS to lower latency, or lag, between the controller and onscreen action."
If anybody remembers in the past Linus Torvalds didn't have the greatest things to say about Nvidia in the past when it comes to support... It's nice to see that Nvidia is now supporting SteamOS/Linux now that they're getting actual developer support towards gaming... but I don't see why it was so hard before myself to support a free open source operating system before SteamOS...
