Olympics Opening Ceremony Live Commentary - July 27th

Want to watch the Olympics, but not fond of the talking heads of the networks broadcasting it?

Join Lagspike.TV on Friday, July 27th at 4pm eastern. Watch the Olympics ceremony live on your non-US broadcast or via stream, but tune in to Lagspike.tv for the commentary you would rather have. This way, you can interact with other viewers, ask questions, and talk up your country's chances to win gold.

It is not guaranteed Lagspike.tv will actually have a stream going of the actual ceremony, though we will be watching one. NBC in the United States has the rights to stream the Olympics and they are not broadcasting it live, instead tape delaying it for prime time television. NBC did this in Bejing in 2008, and it turns out they added additional CGI effects in production to make it look like it should have looked.

This caused a huge outcry against the delaying of streams. NBC will not be delaying the broadcast of actual competitions, though television broadcasts during prime time will most likely be tape delayed. http://nbcolympics.com will have streams throughout the day of the various events, starting Wednesday, July 25th with the USA women's soccer match.

BBC has the rights to broadcast in the UK, and the IOC has a YouTube channel for more events.
