This year's IndieCade saw plenty of new innovations in terms of game design. One such game we saw on the floor was named Perception, an exploration game where all is dark—except for when you "tap" your cursor within the environment, and the world opens up via sound.
This is a development effort by The Deep End Games, former members of the teams that worked on Bioshock and Dead Space. The demo was short, but we were able to explore creepy and jumpscare-ish corners of an old house that looked packed up and ready to be vacated. Check out the assets for the game to see some sneak peek coverage and to possibly whet your appetite for something new on the horizon.
