Since the creation of Minecraft many different adaptions and various ideas have sprung to life. But Planets3 stands out from all the rest, featuring more than ever customizations this 3D open-world voxel-based RPG in a first person view is truly worlds apart. Offering kind of multiverse view to the world of gaming and proposing that you can visit other vast cube worlds by space travel.

Planets3 in development since last year with the provisional release on PC in 2015, with an expanded version to follow in 2017. While the first release will only see a single solar system and only a fraction of the storyline planned for the “full” release.

Taking an old approach to how the world was once perceived the worlds are not round but are of cubed formations. Each planet represents thousands of billions of blocks formed in 25cm3 blocked universe. As previewed in the concept art below.

If funded the initial release will be made for PC with other platforms appearing along the way if enough funding is raised. But if you want to see it on the Xbox One or PS4 anytime soon the Kickstarter needs to raise $600,000. With the hope that if Cubical gains access to console SDKs to enable cross-platform Multiplayer with PC.
