While Capcom are still unsure on how to deal with players exploiting holes in the ranking system of Street Fighter IV, Namco Bandai and Nintendo have been quick to address the issue of rage quitters in Pokkén Tournament.
Before you even get to play your first match online, the game tells you to play all matches to the end. If you still choose to quit in the middle of battle, you will be given a penalty. This penalty include loss of Poké Gold, which is the in-game currency used to purchase cosmetic items, and the battle will be registered as a loss which will in turn negatively affect your ranking.
Hopefully this will inspire other developers and publishers to adopt similar systems, because no one likes a rage quitter!
