Red Dead fans, rejoice! We finally have a release date for the much anticipated sequelish title to Red Dead Redemption! Red Dead Redemption 2 will release on all platforms on October 26th, 2018.
In a statement on their website, Rockstar said
Dear All,
We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.
We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.

Its a long time coming for fans of the series, who have waited since the original title launched on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in 2010. The new game is set in the same universe, but will be a prequel of sorts to the original title, following the story of Arthur Morgan.
We can't wait to get our hands on Red Dead Redemption 2 this fall!
