Red Dead Redemption 2 rumors have been making the rounds since E3 2015 when it was speculated just before the convention that Red Dead 2 would be announced during one of the press conferences. It wasn't. The lack of announcement last year disappointed many fans but fear not, western shooter fans, for we are here with more Red Dead Redemption 2 rumors... with a bit of solid evidence behind them this time.
A game map was leaked via NeoGAF and Tech Radar last week, and was described as a "very real and recent" art direction model of the game map. An unknown source was also quoted as saying that Red Dead Redemption 2 would be a prequel set just to the east of the events of the original Red Dead Redemption.
If you look at the lower left corner, you can see the Great Plains area and Blackwater City, which were huge set-pieces in Red Dead Redemption. Of note as well is the city of New Bordeaux, bottom right of the map. This city is the backdrop of the upcoming Mafia 3, which is also being published by Take Two. Could this lead to some sort of corss-over? Only time will tell for sure, but its an interesting theory!
We will bring you more on the latest Take Two titles and Red Dead Redemption series information as we get it.
