Now THAT was worth the wait!
Months of silence. A delay to Spring 2018. Screenshots and rumors released to tide you over...Until now.
Rockstar Games released a brand new story trailer for Red Dead Redemption II. And man, does it look incredible.
Set as a prequel to Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption II stars a new character, Arthur Morgan, not the original games protagonist, John Marston as many thought.
Rockstar has described the game as "...The story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight, and steal their way across the cast and rugged heart of America in order to survive." The Van der Linde gang also goes by another name, Dutch's Gang, which fans of the series will remember as the gang John Marston joined and eventually left.
New activities are abound in Red Dead Redemption II! Hunting, horse breaking, bank and train robberies, and more were shown in the trailer and we're sure there will be more announcements to come before its 2018 release.
New environments also make an appearance, Old West towns, forests filled with pine trees, snowy mountains, swamps, and prairies all look incredible.
No mention was made of a solid release date, nor platform confirmations beyond PS4 and Xbox One. We also know next to nothing about the online component of Red Dead Redemption II, which has been rumored to be named (shocker) Red Dead Online.
