Want to be able to play Resident Evil 7 anywhere with your saved game state? You're in luck! Capcom have revealed that players will be able to transfer their PC and Xbox One game saves between the Xbox One and Windows Store versions of the game. This announcement has prompted speculation that this game will be a part of Xbox's Play Anywhere feature.

The news was first brought to light in an article by Dengeki who reported that "...the Windows Store verion can share play data with the Xbox One version." which Capcom later confirmed. Cross-saving is a key supported feature of the E3 2016 announced Play Anywhere plan that Microsoft has implimented in many third party games. This would mark the first time a third party developer has taken advantage of the feature, and could signal other third parties to do so if it proves successful.

Capcom, as of this writing, has not confirmed however that this will be a part of the Play Anywhere program.

The Dengeki article also points out that the game will support HDR on all formants and will have full 4K support on PS4 Pro and PC. The game will also launch with ful PSVR compatibility.

Resident Evil 7 launches Janurary 27th, 2017 for PC, PS4, PS4 Pro, and Xbox One.
