Riot Games To Build An Artificial Reef Dedicated to League Of Legends

Following Janurary's 'Ocean Week', Riot Oceania are now planning to build an artificial reef off the coast Australia. This artificial reef is the result of a stretch goal added by Riot Oceania to their ‘Ocean Week’ event which had players play a select few champions in order to earn points. These points would then be contributed to the event in order to unlock a collection of stretch goals, the top goal being an ‘artificial reef’ after having at least 275,000 points contributed. This top stretch goal was unlocked only 3 days into the event.
From among the three champions that were on the vote to have an island created of them, Nautilus was favoured over Fizz and Nami.

Riot is currently in talks with an artificial reef company and a marine biologist to discuss where is best for the island to be placed, meaning it is probably still a while off before construction begins but as a thank you to every contributing player, Riot will etch each of the participants' names into the reef.

Will our planet benefit from presumably being able to see Nautilus from space?
