It’s been seven hours since this turn of Hearthstone began.
A new World Record attempt is currently going underway; the longest turn in Hearthstone ever which is estimated to last over 40 hours. Until the completion the turn is being livestreamed on Twitch.
Each player’s turn is limited to one and a half minutes, unless the card’s animation is still active where the game will remain on that player’s turn until the animation has been completed. Through careful planning, the two players have exploited the game’s card animations by keeping the turn being played for nearly two days.
This exploit has been achieved by having the card ‘Arcane Missiles’ that fires three missiles to be repeated by the card ‘Valen’s Chosen.’ 206 copies of it. ‘Valen’s Chosen’ increases spell damage by one which also affects the amount of missiles being fired with an addition of one extra missile. After this, the game board was filled with seven copies of ‘Prophet Valen’ which doubles the spell damage of a card which also doubled the 209 missiles from ‘Arcane Missiles’ making the card fire seven times with 26,752 missiles each.
The enemy player played the card ‘Ice Block’ which prevents them from dying until the turn after. So because of this, roughly 240,000 missiles will be shot one by one before the turn ends, lasting approximately 40 hours.
