Ubisoft is really ramping it up this year! When they announced their "usual" line up of games (sequels to sequels of sequels) Pre-E3, many assumed that was all they were going to show off. Boy were we wrong! They dropped bomb after bomb of great sounding titles on us. Including naval battle pirate game, Skull and Bones.
It is the Golden Age of Piracy. Renegade captains command the most powerful weapons on Earth: warships. You are a pirate captain who has refused the king’s pardon and sailed from the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean, an untamed frontier full of lavish riches. However, these waters are also a battleground where far-reaching colonial empires, powerful trading corporations, and ruthless pirate gangs clash. In order to survive, you will have to build a lethal fleet, prey upon lucrative trade routes, and ally with other pirates in your endless struggle for supremacy.
Combine this with an "open ocean" world, the ability to customize not only your pirate, but your crew, and build deadly ships, the ability to play solo or co-op with friends, and redefined naval combat and you've got one incredible sounding title. We only hope that it doesn't fall the way of previous Ubisoft titles (we're looking at YOU, For Honor!) or struggle to compete with the likes of Sea Of Thieves.

Skull and Bones will be available Fall 2018 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
