At E3 2016, we got to go eyes on with the latest first person shooter set in the Warhammer universe, Warhammer 40,000 Space Hulk Deathwing.
Space Hulk Deathwing is being developed by Streum On Studio on the Unreal Engine 4. A first person shooter experience, the game is based on the classic board game Space Hulk - Deathwing. It offers players the chance to "experience a desperate battle against Genestealers in the damned interiors of a Space Hulk..." Players will gain new skills, abilities, and equipment as they go through the game thanks to experience earned on these missions.
Gameplay looked... Quite slow to be honest. It was like DOOM was being played through a jar of jam with less interesting enemies. I know part of that is the universe and part of that is the suits of armor your character is wearing, but often times it felt really slow and could have used a bit better pacing. Hopefully this will be fixed before the game launches in 2017.
