Customers who have pre-ordered their brand new copy of Nintendo’s highly anticipated third person shooter, Splatoon from GAME UK, will be disappointed to hear that their game will not be delivered to them for the release date of May 28.

A statement from GAME UK has been sent via email to customers explaining that “the lorry transporting the stock from Nintendo’s European warehouse to GAME UK has been stolen” and therefore, GAME will not be able to receive replacements. The pre-orders contained the base game ‘Splatoon’ for the Wii U and the Splatoon & Inkling amiibos.

GAME have said that those whose pre-orders became stolen will still receive the two amiibos with the standard edition of the game. On top of that, this edition will be discounted by £10 from £52.99 to £42.99 to make up for the inconvenience. Orders will be shipped by First Class post on May 29.

Affected customers are able to cancel their orders by calling GAME’s customer services on 0208-827-0099 or email them at [email protected] by midday on May 29.
