EA and DICE revealed that an open beta for their upcoming and hotly anticipated shooter, Star Wars Battlefront would be made available to the public sometime in October.
The beta will reportedly feature the 40 player Walker Assault on Hoth mode that was seen at E3 and available to Alpha players earlier this summer. Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader will be playable in the beta, showing off how Hero characters work on both sides for the first time. The co-op Tattooine survival mission will also be featured, as well as the newly revealed "Drop Zone" mode.
For the first time ever, EA is making a companion app available for beta testing as well; releasing on iOS, Android, and Web Browsers, the companion app will contain a strategic card game called Base Command as well as a stat and progression tracker, social media elements, and load-out customization.
No official date was given for the launch of the beta, but stay tuned to Senshudo for the latest on Star Wars Battlefront as we get it!
