Strike Suit Zero comes to the Mac and Linux

By Stewart Marsh on 29/04/2024 21:50 UTC

Born Ready Games is happy to announce that both Mac and Linux versions of Strike Suit Zero are available to download through Steam today. Joining them will be the Raptor Strike Suit and Heroes of the Fleet DLC.

Originally a stretch goal on Kickstarter, funding for Mac and Linux support fell just short of the stretch goal milestone. Despite this, Born Ready Games committed to porting the game regardless.

To coincide with the release of Strike Suit Zero on these new platforms, there’s 50% off the game until August 15th.

Strike Suit Zero features intense, large scale space battles, with the transforming Strike Suit offering a twist to traditional space combat dogfighting. With craft designs by renowned mecha designer Junji Okubo (Steel Battalion, Appleseed) and a soundtrack composed by Paul Ruskay (Homeworld), Strike Suit Zero has impressed critics with its aesthetics and other-worldly atmosphere.

Strike Suit Zero has seen great success on PC; it’s been great to see space combat fans getting back into the genre. Now we’re excited to bring that experience to both the Mac and Linux communities.” said James Brooksby, Born Ready Games CEO.

The Heroes of the Fleet Mission Pack, features five missions centring on the mysterious Black Fleet, and the Raptor Strike Suit – a light-weight, agile suit with a devastating shotgun weapon.

Also recently revealed was that the Oculus Rift version of Strike Suit Zero is now available to anybody with an Oculus dev kit.   Strike Suit Zero is available via Steam now for $19.99, £14.99, €15.99 (with 50% until August 15).
