Growing up, The Sims was one of my favorite PC games. It allowed me to create look alikes of my real life family and play out situations that I could only dream of. When The Sims FreePlay came out a few years ago, it sounded like the mobile version of that very thing. It wasn't. Enter The Sims Mobile, a new offering from EA and Maxis that seems to learn from the mistakes of the past and welcome a bright, new future with open arms.
The Sims Mobile will let players create their own Sims and their homes, just like the PC version. Apparently you will also be able to customize both Sim and home with "more detail than ever before on mobile." The game appears to focus more on stories you can create and has a feel closer to The Sims 4. For example, your sims can retire from a career and they will then unlock hobbies and careers for future generations of Sims. Mutliplayer will also make an apperance, though its unclear as to what form that will take right now.
A launch trailer was released yesterday (thanks GameTrailers) and includes a small overview of what gameplay will be like. You can watch the trailer below and check out the game right now which has soft launched on Android, with an iOS release coming "soon".
