A recent interview with lead writer Jesse Stern has revealed some interesting details about the upcoming ‘Titanfall 2.’ Firstly, the game will have an offline, single player campaign, something which many players lamented the absence of in the first game. In the interview with Forbes, Stern states that “one of the shortcomings of the first game was we just did not have the mechanism to tell everyone 'Here's who you are, here's where you are and who's around you.'” Set during a time of mass immigration to a series of new ‘frontier’ planets, Stern explains that in Titanfall 2 we will see many “machines that were designed for excavation and construction, demolition and working the land, and what happens when they are turned into instruments of war. What inspires us is the junction of technological advancement with the inevitability of conflict and war.”

Furthermore, Stern reveals that Canadian-American entertainment corporation, Lions Gate Entertainment, are currently at work on a TV-show spinoff set in the Titanfall universe. Details are currently a little on the light side but he was quick to point out that any production of Titanfall would be rather expensive, due to the nature of the subject matter.
